No matter where, when, or with whom you’re planning to say “I do,” your wedding day story deserves to be showcased in all its unique magnificence. But I actually believe you deserve so much more. For me, wedding photography isn’t just about taking photos and delivering a gallery; it’s about delivering a one-of-a-kind, luxury experience from the first hello to the final “congratulations”...and beyond.

With an experience centered around the values of genuine connection and earnest encounter, I incorporate relational elements like a discovery call and a welcome gift before we even begin planning your wedding photography. From the moment you book me, I enthusiastically join Team Bride and am available anytime to offer travel tips, seating chart advice, or a second opinion on whether the lilac napkins clash with the sage chargers. And nowhere is my hands on approach more apparent than in the engagement session, before which we will work together to build a Pinterest inspiration board that reflects the location, wardrobe, and overall vibe.

I collaborate seamlessly with your wedding planner to craft a day-of timeline that will give you the freedom to enjoy every moment -- building in time for first looks, golden hour photos, and straggling groomsmen -- and removing a stressful weight from your shoulders. I help you craft a shot list that ensures not a single family photo will pass untaken (or that Great Aunt Belinda will sneak away to the cocktail hour before photos). But above all, I create an open dialogue that will pay off in incredible ways on your wedding day.

And when the day finally arrives, I will unobtrusively and intentionally document your special day, artfully crafting a gallery that faithfully encapsulates what it truly felt like to be present. In this way, I deliver not just a gallery of images, but an immersive experience for you to relive and savor for decades to come.

Meg + seth - positano, italy

"I can’t say enough good things about Sierra - we absolutely loved working with her! She is a joy to be around which made our session in Italy so easy and effortless and truly made us feel comfortable and at home. She was kind and fun to work with, but that was just the beginning. We got our photos back promptly and were blown away. Every single shot was magnificent. She produced the most beautiful, timeless images. Sierra captured us so perfectly through her photos. I can’t recommend her enough! If you want to enjoy the process and receive world-class images at the end, she’s your girl!"

nicole + Kelbey - Oregon Golf Club

We had a perfect day captured by Sierra. She and her team worked diligently to make sure everything was done well and efficiently. She made us feel at ease-just as it should be on your wedding day! We had more than a handful of weddings prior to our own this summer, and we were the first to get pictures back! Needless to say, Sierra cares about her couples! We were completely thrilled to relive our day! Her attention to detail is impeccable, her photos have a timeless wedding feel, and we are so proud to share our pictures with our friends and family!

"The moment I laid eyes on Sierra’s work I knew I had to have her photograph my wedding, from the first conversation with her I knew we had made the best choice. She is so kind and made sure to incorporate everything we wanted. Personally I’m very uncomfortable getting my photo taken and was pretty nervous the day of but she made everything so effortless and beautiful. The whole experience was so fun and easy and not to mention the photos turned out absolutely stunning. Sierra is not only a blast to be around but so incredibly talented. Forever grateful for the memories she captured so perfectly!"

celeste + drew - bend, oregon

"Sierra exceeded our expectations for our engagement shoot and action packed wedding day. Sierra communicated well from the beginning and was so flexible. Our wedding day included a morning ceremony at Smith Rock, followed by a photo shoot at the Madras Airport capturing a beautiful moment of skydiving adventure with the bride and groom. The day ended with an intimate gathering with family and friends at a local Bend brewery including fire breathing. The bride’s family even broke out in song. The pictures are priceless! Sierra has an amazing eye for lighting accompanied by a wonderful, easy going and personable demeanor. Our family and friends were comfortable with her right away. Sierra Ashleigh delivered on her promises and then some. We are proud to show off our albums and would choose her again and again."

alicia + Eliyah - positano/Ravello, italy

My husband and I did our engagement shoot with Sierra on the Amalfi Coast. She was seriously THE BEST photographer ever! She met us before sunrise and we went and explored a few islands together and finished at sundown. She worked so hard all day to capture the best shots for us and her creativity shines through her work! It was so much fun spending the day with her like we have been friends forever! I would definitely book another session with her again!

davida + curt - San francisco

“Sierra was such a pleasure to work with for our wedding. Even though we weren’t able to meet in person before the big day, she made a point of getting to know us and our families over Skype and email, which gave us so much confidence in her for our wedding. Not only did the pictures turn out beautifully, they are also such a reflection of us and our style. Despite challenging weather conditions, Sierra remained calm, cool and collected which brought us so much ease and allowed things to flow perfectly. So grateful to have had Sierra as part of our wedding celebrations!”

Alyssa + tanner - ashland, oregon

"We cannot thank Sierra enough for being with us on our wedding day! Not only did our pictures turn out more beautiful than we could have hoped for, but Sierra’s kindness and professionalism from our engagement shoot through delivery was absolutely priceless. She is truly a gifted artist, a kind soul, and a pleasure to work with!"

courtney + sean - san diego, california

"We were so blessed to have Sierra as our wedding photographer. She came to San Diego at a moment’s notice and did not disappoint. I’m a rather shy person so it was great to work with someone who was not only patient and kind but her easy going personality made something that would be considered stressful quite fun. Sierra’s creativity and guidance captured the most beautiful memories of our intimate ceremony, we are forever grateful for her."

anna + vitaliy - san diego

The experience

Because I’ve chosen to photograph only 20 weddings a year, I can deliver a luxury experience you’ll be delighted to invest in. I am passionate about ensuring we are a perfect fit before any contracts are signed or deposits are paid through an interview process, allowing us to get to know each other better and clearly define expectations.

Once I discover a little more about you, your wishes, and what matters the most to you when it comes to photography, I will build a custom investment package for you.

I firmly believe that no two wedding celebrations are alike, just as no two couples in love are alike. Because of this, I want to design a wedding coverage plan with you that beautifully matches your day. So, whether you are looking for seven hours of coverage or ten, one photographer or two, travel to Santorini or just around the corner, we will craft a collection uniquely suited both to your celebration and your budget.

why film?

Q: What is different about film photography vs. digital photography?
A: That soft, bright, romantic quality to my images that tugs so many heartstrings is owed in large part to my use of film. There is a depth and richness to it that digital images can’t quite replicate.

Q: What film camera do you use?
A: Currently, I arrive at a wedding day with a Contax 645 Medium Format camera and a bag full of Fuji 400 film. Along with my digital Canon 5D Mark iii.

Q: Doesn’t it make your photography more expensive?
A: While it’s true that film photographers often come at a higher cost than photographers who strictly use digital, I believe that the timeless, inimitable quality of film is worth every penny.

Q: Doesn’t film limit the number of photos you can take?
A: While each roll of film only contains 16 frames -- meaning I need to trade out rolls every 16 photos -- this is actually much more of a benefit than a drawback. Instead of snapping wildly at a scene, I carefully and intentionally craft each photo I take, opting for one or two excellent shots rather than 20 that are just so-so.

Q: Wait...so if you take film photos, how do you deliver them to me in a digital gallery?
A: After I finish photographing a wedding, I ship all of my film rolls to a lab where they process and scan the film to my unique color profile. They then email me the high-resolution scans to edit. Following just a few light edits thanks to the stunning nature of film, I can upload them directly into your private digital gallery!
